You now know who I am, why I've contacted you, why I want to do this podcast. Oh shit. Oh god. Okay, nice. We'll try this again. This is definitely not the first time I've tried this and probably won't be the last time, but maybe we'll do it. We'll have to see. Either way, I thought I'd start with a question. What does Elon Musk, Erling Haaland and Henry Cavill all have in common? They're all gamers. Yet the stereotype about gamers remains. This is what this podcast hopes to change. And in No We Are Not Losers, I, Willy, or W, hope to be able to interview some of the many and incredibly fascinating gamers out there. And if you're watching this, it's definitely possible that you're watching it because I reached out to you. And I hope to do that. And if I did, your first question was probably, who the fuck is that guy? And my thought was that I was going to make this episode where I would talk about myself, to myself, out loud, in English, while playing video games, explaining to you a bit about who I am. Because I felt like it's fair if I share who I am with you if I also ask you to share your story with me and the world. But I'm not going to do that. And if you're watching this, you're probably understanding why. Because it's so freaking, well, it's hard to do it on your own. It's also so, so weird and strange to talk about yourself at length. And I was like, nah, you know what? I tried this. I tried it over and over again. I wanted to do it because it feels fair. It feels just. It would be good for the podcast, I think. But I just can't do it. It was just too weird, and so I'm doing this shorter thing instead. And basically, then, the point is that, or what I hope we can do together, is that I can interview you about your story, about your life, the work you're doing, and your interests. So, and, oh my God, I got stuck. To show the rest of the world about the value of playing video games and the amazing gamers out there. And my thinking is that we'll do it at the same time as we are playing video games together, so you also get the chance to show off some games that you yourself are really fond of and want to show and share with the rest of the world. And so we end up having an interview you would so we end up having an interview you would perhaps have nowhere else. Or if you have never done an interview previously, then perhaps this element of us just sitting together playing video games would make it more fun, more comfortable, if you otherwise would feel it is uncomfortable and not something you would otherwise want to do. As you can see, it's not the easiest, and it will not be easy to have a perfect conversation, which is kind of also the point. Because some of my greatest moments and conversations, and the most fun I've had, have been with friends I've made either through gaming or in school, or like school friends or similar that I've then played video games with. And when we have done it, it has never been this perfect conversation, but something that has evolved naturally. And the fact that it can be this natural, more fun thing, I think could end up creating conversations that aren't perfect, but in fact end up being much better because of it. Because it would give you the room and opportunity to just share what comes up in your mind and what seems interesting in the moment, or what you are passionate and geeked out about at present. Because I feel like there are so many podcasts out there where the hosts end up knowing everything about their guests. They've read every single paper. They have read every social media tweet, and they know literally everything about the other person. And you can sort of feel it with the questions, because they already know what the other person, in some form, is going to answer, and they're just waiting for that so they can ask their next question. And I'm always like, I'm impressed with the research, but I also just end up being really bored. And I don't want to watch more than a single episode. While I think this could be something more fun, because we don't really know exactly where it would go. In the end, it would just be, of course, I have a base, just as I had an idea of what I was going to talk about here. But this was supposed to be this long-ass episode where I was going to talk about myself. But I was like, okay, no. This is not fun. This is just boring and weird. So let's do something else that's hopefully better, or at least shorter, so you don't have to watch it for as long. And that's what I kind of hope we could do together as well. See where it leads us, while at the same time hopefully improving the view of gamers and gaming to the rest of the world, who hasn't, at least thus far, perhaps been lucky enough to experience all the great things it brings, and all the great memories and friends and everything in between. So yeah, that is what No We Are Not Losers will hopefully be. And I think it should be possible. And the reason I think it should be possible is because you can hold a conversation with another person while driving, and it usually goes pretty fine, which is what I wanted, oh God, to show by playing Forza. But this is not the most persuasive argument, as I'm currently on a beach and in the water. But I still think it should work. It just doesn't work really all that well when you're playing on your own, or by yourself. And, yeah, I hope you now know who I am, why I've contacted you, why I want to do this podcast. Oh shit. Oh God. And why it could be a bit fun and so forth. Yeah. So, yeah, that is all I'm going to say. I'm not going to do this whole thing about myself. Well, it was no fun, man. It does not work well. So, yeah, goodbye, I guess. Hope you want to do this thing with me. I think it could be pretty great, and pretty weird, and fun, and all in between.
